Dear colleagues,
May I request everyone if they find any attempts to undermine Open Principles in GeoEducation either directly or indirectly anywhere in the world
to please email the organisations as I did . Having only one proprietary GIS product alone promoted in School GIS education is trying to create monopoly in GIS Education. Please ask them to include Free and Open Source
GIS also in the curriculum.
In my humble opinion, Science is not any specific GIS tools! (proprietary or open source). Any proprietary GIS vendors doing sales/marketing of any proprietary GIS products as “The Science” is either just joking : -) or
misleading customers! Geographic Information Science is not “owned “by any GIS vendor owner!
Let us all work to make sure Geographic Information Science is Open for our future generations…
