Full-time/Part-time Solicitor(s)
CWJ are looking to recruit one full-time or two part-time solicitors preferably who have sufficient experience to qualify for supervisor status in the legal aid franchise categories of Actions Against
the Police (now called Civil Actions against Public Authorities) and/or in Public Law.
This will be an exciting opportunity to work with and help shape the development of a new charity already making a big impact in holding the state to account around violence against women and girls.
You will work under the direction of Harriet Wistrich, CWJ’s founding director and with an inspiring and supportive group of trustees and advisory panel.
We are looking for creative, well organised and highly committed lawyers with good experience in these areas of law and an understanding of and commitment to challenging violence against women and
girls

Paralegal
We are interested to hear from anyone interested in a paralegal post to assist the new solicitor (as advertised above). Some experience of working in a legal aid practice and an understanding of
issues around violence against women and girls also required.

CWJ lawyers reference panel
Are you interested in being on our reference panel? We are looking for lawyers with expertise and interest in bringing cases against state agencies including the police and other criminal justice
agencies, with an understanding of issues facing women undergoing male violence. We are also interested to hear from criminal defence solicitors. If you are on the CWJ panel you would potentially be available to receive referrals of cases in this area as
well as be willing to provide pro bono telephone advice to frontline advocates providing support to women victims of violence.

Consultant opportunities
