Dear colleagues, please read the information below (and attached). I am preparing a Special Issue on Biographicity and Education with my colleague Francesc Hernandez for a Spanish Journal, and we believe that BNIM-oriented articles will fit specially to the theme. Of course, other non-BNIM contributions are very welcome too!
Thank you and best wishes
M. Eugenia.

The RASE (Revista Española de Sociología de la Educación) is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal (January, May, September), that aims to disseminate research focused on Sociology of Education. The Special Issue in May’s theme is "Biograficity and Education". It is coordinated by Mª Eugenia Cardenal de la Nuez and Francesc J. Hernàndez. The concept of “biographicity”, developed by Peter Alheit, stresses the idea that contemporary individuals are pushed to be reflexive and take the lead to shape their own lives. The Issue aims to gather contributions that explore the problem, adressing questions like the nature and sense of education and training decisions in the present context, the relationship between educational trajectories and the social milieu, or the educational biographies of disempowered groups; and the theoretical and methodological challenges associated. The Issue will publish essays written in English or Spanish. Possible authors are kindly requested to write to María Eugenia Cardenal ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) or to Francesc J. Hernàndez ([log in to unmask]) for further information.
