Ipsen have a requirement for an Archive Project Manager to be based at our Slough site. The role is to audit, catalogue and review archive files that belong to Ipsen in an offsite archive. With recent company reorganisations it is necessary to audit all archive files (approximately 7000). This will involve retrieving large numbers of files, assessing what action needs to be taken on each file (with help from the owning departments), add information to the archive catalogue, destroy or return the files to archive. Ipsen has a clear procedure for management of archive files and has an online ordering and retrieval process and so the method for retrieval and review is clear. Nevertheless the functionality and understanding of this process will also need to be reviewed.

We are looking for someone who has experience of archiving or cataloguing material. Also someone who can work on their own initiative, has attention to detail, is able to liaise with staff at all levels across the company and has complete confidentiality. A qualification (degree) in a related subject would be an advantage.

The length of the role is difficult to judge at this early stage of the project but is expected to be up to 6 months. However there may be a possibility of extending the role further to a similar requirement at one of Ipsen's other sites in Oxfordshire.
