Lothian Health Services Archive is recruiting a part-time Access Officer post (24.5 hours per week, fixed-term for three years). This is a great opportunity to join an accredited archive working
in the Centre for Research Collections at the University of Edinburgh: the role is a vital position within the Archive, responding to enquiries about records from a wide variety of users and working closely with unique collections to provide and improve access.
This post offers significant potential for personal development and would be ideally suited for those wishing to develop a career in archives.
The post will be based in Edinburgh University Main Library though there will be the occasional need to work across other University and NHS Lothian sites.
You will have a strong background in customer service, preferably in the archive, library or museums/galleries sectors. Excellent communication, literacy and ICT skills are essential. You should
also be able to demonstrate interest in, and an ability to learn about, heritage collections.
Closing date: Friday 12 January 2018 at 5pm (GMT). We anticipate interviews will be held in the week commencing 22 January 2018.
