Dear Colleagues

Kym Fraser asked me to forward this to the list. The vast majority of the MOOC is relevant to colleagues across the globe.

Best wishes

Mick

Subject: January 2018 launch of Contemporary approaches to university teaching MOOC

Dear All

You very kindly took part in evaluating a module or document which comprised part of my Fellowship teaching induction MOOC, Contemporary approaches to university teaching.

I am very pleased to say that we successfully piloted the MOOC this semester with very pleasing feedback from the participants (200 enrolled). We are currently making revisions.

In January we will launch the MOOC. For those who are interested in letting colleagues in their university know about the MOOC, attached is a flyer showing people how they can register now.

While many Australian universities have substantive teaching induction programs, many don't. Also, this MOOC includes specialty modules, such as Mathematics Teaching, and Work Integrated Learning, which may be of interest to universities that do have induction programs.

Thank you again for your help in the development of the MOOC.

Kym

Please note that I work for Swinburne University of Technology one day a week specifically on my national Teaching Fellowship.
