Thank you Caroline for sharing this very sad news.
Colin was awarded the PSGB Osman Hill medal in January of this year. He recorded a lecture for our Winter meeting which you can watch here. We also have film of Simon Bearder’s introduction to the lecture, thanks to Sarah Elton, which we will share via the website.

Dear PSGB members,
Very sad to say, as we anticipated at our 50th anniversary meeting yesterday, a much respected member of our community has died. John Oates has just drawn my attention to the announcement of Colin Groves' death in Australia.
So another eminent member of our community gone - to add to all those who were mentioned during the course of our meeting. Let's just hope all the student members at the meeting step in to fill these huge shoes in due course.
