Dear all,
I have been asked to try answer some questions (below) about 7 day stroke services which I’m finding tricky. NHS Digital stats don’t seem to offer the required level of granularity to identify stroke specialists, and I have had no reply
from the RCP SSNAP team or the Br. Assc. Stroke Physicians.
Does anyone have any ideas where I could look? Binley’s has been suggested but our Trust doesn’t subscribe to it. Thanks for any suggestions you’re able to offer.
1. How many whole-time and part-time stroke consultants are there in each NHS acute Trust
2. How much time do stroke specialist consultants spend on non-stroke related work (general elderly care, other neurological conditions etc.)?
3. How many Trusts have a 24 hour, 7 day a week stroke service which includes a Consultant ward round
4. How many stroke services offer/have access to early supported discharge on 5 days a week?
5. How many stroke services offer/have access to early supported discharge on 7 days a week?
