italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
The St Catharine’s-Sykes Studentship is a new, fully-funded studentship for doctoral candidates reading for a PhD in any field of Italian studies.
The Studentship will be awarded for entry in October 2018, and is open to exceptionally well-qualified candidates, of outstanding academic potential, who intend to study at St Catharine’s College for a PhD degree in Italian. Graduates of any University may apply. Eligible applicants must apply for admission, or have already received an offer of admission to the University of Cambridge, to read for a PhD in Italian in the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages.
The Studentship will be tenable for three years: the maximum award will comprise the University Composition Fee at the applicable Home/EU rate and a discretionary Maintenance award.
Those wishing to be considered for the St Catharine’s-Sykes Studentship should apply to the University in the normal way. The successful applicant will be selected by the College in consultation with colleagues in Italian from the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages, and must become a member of St Catharine’s College on taking up the Studentship.
