Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship

The Institute of Modern Languages Research invites applications to the School of Advanced Study, University of London for Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowships, to start between 1 September 2018 and 1 May 2019. Early Career Fellowships aim to provide career development opportunities for those who are at a relatively early stage of their academic careers, but who have a proven record of research. The expectation is that Fellows should undertake a significant piece of publishable work during their tenure, and that the Fellowships should lead to a more permanent academic position.

The School is pleased to support a limited number of applications to the Trust for outstanding projects from exceptional candidates.

We now welcome expressions of interest from eligible candidates with a completed PhD and an excellent track record.

For full instructions on how to apply, see http://www.sas.ac.uk/support-research/fellowships/externally-funded-fellowships/leverhulme-trust-early-career-fellowships.

The closing date for candidates wishing to be considered for School support in the 2018-19 round is Monday 18 December 2017. Candidates will be informed whether or not the School will support their applications by Friday 2 February 2018. The School will then provide further assistance to those candidates it has decided to support, in order to refine their applications to the Leverhulme Trust. These applications must then be submitted to the Leverhulme by its deadline of 1 March 2018.
