The free interactive German Grammar “Shortcuts into German Grammar” has entered its fifth phase with the release of a new chapter on the perfect tense by Sascha Stollhans.

The project identifies and rigorously analyses typical difficulties experienced by English learners of German and offers self-marking exercises with extensive help options, an interlinked terminal glossary and performance analysis. It is available on the University of Essex Moodle X website. Moodle X is freely accessible for any external student, staff or guest - just create a new account upon your first login if you don’t already have one.

You can access the grammar via this direct link: https://moodlex.essex.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=104 or by searching for the course "Language Repository German" at http://moodlex.essex.ac.uk.

The project began in Kent in 2009 and continues to grow, with contributions from language teachers at various universities.
