Subject: Insects in amber

The Oxford University Museum of Natural History is interested in buying some insects in amber to be used in public engagement. There are some nice specimens of Dominican and Baltic amber for sale but I know there are restrictions on the extraction and export of some of this material, particularly Baltic amber, and we want to be sure that any specimens we do buy have been acquired legally. If anyone has experience in this area and could advise us we would be very pleased to hear from them.

With thanks and best wishes,

Eliza Howlett
