Good Morning all!

I hope you are all well on this crisp monday morning.  I am looking for advice on Artist in Residence programs, particularly those in historic houses. I would really like to start one at our venue as we are looking for something with a bit more depth than just an exhibition, up until now we have just provided a space for artists to exhibit their work but I would really like to work with an artist for a length of time and for them to engage with our setting, our mission and our values as a charity.

As we would be starting from the beginning and  have no experience with this type of programme, if anyone could give me a starting point or recommend where to look for examples I would be most grateful. Also any ideas on funding or indeed any artists that work with either historic houses or educational charities.

I look forward to hearing your  recommendations!
