The growing role of ICTs (information and communication technologies) in international development means development studies degrees increasingly require ICT-related content.

The recently-published Routledge textbook, “Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D)”, provides the basis for adding either individual sessions or a full module.

The book uses extensive in-text diagrams, tables and boxed examples with chapter-end discussion and assignment questions and further reading.  Online resources (slide packs, session outlines and notes) support use for teaching and training purposes, and inspection copies can be requested for those planning to adopt the book as a core text.

I am happy to answer questions about use of the book and materials for educational purposes.
