The following vacancy may be of interest: Beken's Lifeboat Glass Plate Negative Collection: From the Isle of Wight to all The role of Project Officer offers a fascinating opportunity to join our Heritage Team and explore and make accessible the history of the RNLI. The HLF supported Beken project has several key elements which will be enthusiastically and professionally delivered by the Project Officer. You will manage a small and diverse team of volunteers who will support your work in digitising, cataloguing and the preservation of the 800 glass plate negatives. Delivering an innovative and engaging range of events and education activities is essential for the project, working with project supporters in both Poole and the Isle of Wight. You will undertake research in the RNLI’s archive and library and provide clear summaries of your work and progress to the Project Steering Group. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with strong heritage experience ready to unlock the potential of a unique collection and creatively share the project resources with a wide range of people in the local community and beyond.
