UAL is looking for an Assistant Manager of the University Archives and Special Collections Centre.  This post holder will also be the named Stanley Kubrick Archivist.

The role
You will support the learning, teaching and research activities of the Colleges, by managing the delivery of day-to-day services within the University Archives and Special Collections Centre. You will recruit, line manage and timetable staff, and motivate the team to deliver excellent services.
You will be the named archivist for the renowned Stanley Kubrick Archive, with the opportunity to maintain good relationships with the donors of this Archive; contributing and facilitating scholarship resulting from its use and interpretation.
You will participate in the management and use of the Archive Management System; support the implementation and development of the digital asset management system; contribute to the UAL web page, social media and external web gateways.

Your profile
A qualified archivist, you will also be an experienced manager of staff and resources, able to motivate and develop a team.  An effective communicator, you will skilfully manage relationships and represent the University at internal and external events such as conferences.  You will enjoy a creative environment, and apply innovative approaches to using archives in object-based learning pedagogies.  You will be willing to develop scholarly work from the Stanley Kubrick Archive as well as encouraging this in others.
