BRA: 85 years Working for Archives

Tuesday 14th November 2017 is the 85th anniversary of the day in 1932 when the British Records Association was formally inaugurated, at a meeting of the Conference of Record and Allied Societies, presided over by the Master of the Rolls, who still acts as the President of the Association. The Association took over from the British Record Society its work to promote the preservation, care and availability of private archives, and this early vision continues to guide the Association today.
