We've been having a wide ranging and valuable discussion so far over on the HE LinkedIn group. Today's mission is to set out what our vision
is for ideal forms of archaeological publication in the future. Please do join us if you’d like to have your say.
For those list members wanting to explore the background to the project, the CIfA website may be offline for part of today but you can still
access the information through the Historic England website, please see

Subject: Forthcoming online discussion in the 21st Century Challenges for Archaeology series on Archaeological Publishing in a digital Age 29-30 November 2017
Dear List members
Some of you kindly participated in the previous online discussion in the in the ‘21st Century Challenges for Archaeology’ series about synthesis, so I thought you may also
be interested in the next discussion on ‘The Challenges of Archaeological Publishing in a Digital Age: who are we writing this stuff for’, which will take place on 29-30 November 2017, once more on the Historic England LinkedIn group. I’m very happy to post
up succinct thoughts to the discussion if you are not “LinkedIners”.
Discussion will focus on how we can secure and enhance the public and academic benefits of archaeological publication at a time when most archaeological fieldwork
is carried out by the commercial sector and when digital technologies are challenging traditional models of dissemination. More information to follow via the Historic England and CifA websites.
