Subject: Use of SITS to record late submissions
Hi all, we’ve recently amended our late submission policies so that rather than being classed as a Non Submission if you are late, there are three different late sanctions (depending on how late a student is in submitting their work).
If you submit in the first hour, you would lose an increment from your letter grade (a B would be a B-).
If you submit within the next 23 hours, you would lose an entire letter grade (a B would drop down to a C).
If you submit after those 24 hours, your grade would drop to a Non-Submission.
How do colleagues with SITS as a record system record late submissions and input them onto a student’s profile? Is it a manual process or is it one that’s automated to take into account your institution’s late submission regulations?
Any comments welcome!
Thanks,
Gareth Evans
