RSS Merseyside Local Group Meeting – 6th December - Showcasing Statistics in Industry in Merseyside On the 6th December at 14.00 the Royal Statistical Society Merseyside Local Group will host a session of talks showcasing the use of Statistics in Industry across Merseyside. The meeting will be held in room 512 Cedar House, University of Liverpool (building 360, grid square D 10 on the university map https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/media/livacuk/maps/Campus_Map.pdf) The event will consist of a series of short talks from speakers from a range of organisations. Speakers will discuss the role of statisticians within their industries in the local region, and talk about examples of projects involving statisticians within their institutions. Confirmed speakers include Paul Pinnington and Mark Attwood from HMRC, David Leigh from HSE, Fiona Baines from Unilever, Rob Gandy from NHS (now Liverpool John Moores University), and Jonathan Bright from AstraZeneca. Festive refreshments will be available at the meeting. The event is open to all, but as ever please register in advance.
