Dear Colleagues,
 
We have a vacancy for a permanent Band 8a Principal Clinical Scientist in Biochemistry based at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, part of the Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board. 

The Clyde Biochemistry service encompasses Inverclyde Royal, Royal Alexandra and Vale of Leven Hospitals, all located in close proximity to the cultural and vibrant city of Glasgow, Loch Lomond, Trossachs National Park and the beautiful West Coast of Scotland.   

For appointment at AfC 8a you will have substantial experience in Clinical Biochemistry, be HCPC registered and have completed the first part of FRCPath examination. Consideration will be given to appoint under AfC annex 21 for candidates who are HCPC registered as a clinical scientist but who have yet to attain the written FRCPath examination. Full support will be given to allow the successful candidate to complete their training.
