David Attenborough was very important to me personally and I have spent much of my life trying to visit the places and see the wildlife I first saw on this programme.
It was the only thing worth watching on the 12" black and white telly that we got for Princess Margaret's wedding.
The Zoo Quest to New Guinea set up bungee jumping as a sport as well.

Zoo Time with Desmod Morris was very good too.
I didn't think much of Animal magic as everyone knew that animals didn't talk .

For broadcasting in science, David Attenborough has been hugely important.

What was the exact milestone - Zoo Quest, Life on Earth, Private Life of Plants, ...? Opinions will vary!
