Writing an Effective Emergency Plan

Course description
If you have ever been daunted at the prospect of writing a practical disaster response plan, then this course is for you. Clear guidance will be provided with the aim of de-mystifying the process and enabling your museum to meet the requirements of Accreditation.
 
Expected learning outcomes
  1. Increased confidence when dealing with disaster preparedness issues.
  2. A greater understanding of what needs to be in a plan and what does not (suitable templates will be provided).
  3. Knowledge of appropriate emergency equipment.
  4. Basic requirements of co-ordinating a response to a disaster.
  5. The ability to write a salvage priority list.
  6. Awareness of Wales’ regional emergency planning support networks.
 
Course leader
Emma Dadson, Divisional Manager at Harwell Document Restoration Services. Harwell is one of the country’s leading document recovery companies, and regularly provide training on emergency planning and salvage techniques.

This course will be provided in the medium of English.
