On Friday November 3, the University of the West of England in partnership with the Crispin Aubrey Legacy Fund and the Bristol Festival of Ideas present a discussion on the ABC secrecy trial.
The trial, which began in 1977, was a key post-war event in how UK journalists cover government surveillance - and how the government treats journalists. Participants from the time will discuss the event and its implications today.
It takes place at the Arnolfini in Bristol and tickets can be booked here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-abc-secrecy-trial-40-years-on-tickets-37485154105
