Hello,

Apologies for cross posting.

Thanks to funding from the Platten Family Fund at the Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland, Discovery Museum is launching New Inventors, a residency programme working with three Inventors in Residence, three primary schools and museum visitors over the course of 2018 to inspire children to pursue opportunities in STEM.

Discovery Museum is seeking to recruit three innovative external practitioners working within contemporary engineering and the wider STEM industry to serve as Inventors in Residence, with the aim to devise and deliver a bold and exciting programme that sparks conversation about Tyneside’s changing story, promoting a sense of place and shared humanity and connects the history of North East invention with dynamic, contemporary maker activities.

Budget

A fee of £5000 per residency

A production budget of £1500 is available per residency for materials and technologies to deliver family and school activity.

Deadline for submissions is 5pm on Monday 20 November 2017

Best wishes,

Sarah
