How involved are you, as an information professional in your organisation, in developing strategies for cyber-security? What is the role of the information professional in defending people’s right to seek out and access different kinds of information?

Cyber Security and Privacy are two of the hottest topics of the moment and CILIP has developed two events looking in depth at these issues and how they affect you in your role, both taking place this Autumn in London.

The Cyber Security Briefing on 19 October at the CILIP head office will feature speakers from the National Cyber Security Centre, The National Archives and West Yorkshire Police and will:

- give you the tools to create effective cyber security strategies
- advise how to work effectively with colleagues across your organisation
- discover the latest and most effective tools and techniques
- look at the way that transferable information skills can be used in cyber security
- discover data weapons to help you fight the next cyber crime wave.
