The University of Warwick’s Institute for Advanced Study has today opened its call for applications under the Marie Sk³odowska Curie Actions COFUND scheme<http://ec.europa.eu/research/mariecurieactions/about-msca/actions/cofund/index_en.htm> (deadline: 30th November 2017). The fellowships offer successful applicants two years at Warwick, starting in September 2018. These fellowships are intended to be strongly linked to Warwick’s Global Research Priorities. As such, Warwick's School of Modern Languages and Cultures (SMLC) strongly encourages applications tied especially to the ‘Connecting Cultures’ priority.

Details about the scheme are available here: https://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/cross_fac/ias/wirl/

The application process requires applicants to name a potential academic supervisor and host department, and to indicate what discussions have already taken place with this person regarding the proposed fellowship. Warwick’s SMLC has an outstanding research environment and has expertise in a very broad range of areas, from the medieval period to the 21st century.

The SMLC’s staff expertise may be viewed here: https://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/arts/modernlanguages/research/expertise/

Applicants should contact their potential supervisor as soon as possible and ideally before 1 November. The potential supervisor will be willing to discuss your project with you and offer suggestions about how to strengthen it.

If you are uncertain about whom to contact, you may get in touch with one of our Directors of Research within the SMLC:
