Job Summary

The Child Mind Institute is seeking an MRI Operations Coordinator for our Healthy Brain Network project. The Healthy Brain Network is an exciting new initiative aimed at collecting imaging, genetic, and phenotypic data from 10,000 children and adolescents throughout NYC. Reporting to the Project Manager, Healthy Brain Network, the MRI Operations Coordinator oversees, manages, and/or performs a wide variety of administrative, and program support activities for the imaging protocol within the Healthy Brain Network study.

This position is located at our headquarters in New York City with travel required to the study imaging sites located in New York City and New Jersey. This is an exempt, full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating and performing various personnel activities related to hiring, on-boarding, performance evaluations, staff trainings, and tracking work allocation
- Train staff working at the study imaging sites. This includes development of training materials to ensure staff adequately understand their role and objectives of the position
- Working with the study staff and imaging centers ensure all data is collected per protocol and policies at each scan site
- Act as a liaison between the study project manager and imaging center directors
- Preform daily supervision of all staff members to ensure their work responsibilities are completed in a timely manner
- Prepare staff schedules to support all scan sites
- Oversee participant scheduling and compensation for the imaging protocol at all sites
- Work with the study project manager and Child Mind Institute leadership in preparation of service contracts
- Work with outside contractors and vendors to ensure all services are obtained in a timely fashion
- Assist with locating and setting up new scan sites to support the study
- Work with the HBN Imaging Analyst to ensure accuracy of data transfer from the imaging sites, and preform quality checks of collected data
- Management and development of weekly imaging protocol reports to track scan completion rates, cancellation and no-show rates, and staff productivity. Distribute and interpret reports to identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations
- Monitor and coordinate accounting activities, and prepare internal reports for management; participate in budget planning and management, as required
- Provide assistance as needed with grant preparation and submissions
- Travel to scan sites is required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience; experience working with senior management or executives a plus
- Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and customer service skills
- Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills
- Ability to manage priorities and time, and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Ability to assist in supervising and training assigned staff including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
- Both a team player as well as self-reliant, and able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Positive attitude, energetic and proactive
- Previous experience in research operations setting a plus
- Ability to maintain discretion and integrity
