We have had major problems.

We had the test violations.

If it’s to do with the reading section we found that they had used some coding that used 32 bit when everything else is 64 bit.

The 32 needed adding.

Our IT bods found that not Pearson.

We have had further problems today.

Cheers

Vicky

Subject: Pearson POP for Functional Skills

Hi All

Although we used Pearson POP for a handful of tests for BTECs in the past, we are having some issues since the transition of FS from Promissor.

I’ve been asked to find out whether other centres are experiencing issues too before taking this to Pearson…

Aside from problems where we have had to delete data files and re-create accounts on both the Admin Dashboard and Invigilator Dashboard we are experiencing lots of issues during tests where learners are being disconnected or are experiencing test violations.  We use the magic password in terms of the latter but problems with disconnected tests are resulting in learners having to start tests from the beginning again or just walk away when issues cannot be resolved.  We got to the point on Friday when Edexcel told us not only to crash the PCs we were having test problems on, but to actually unplug them too.  I am advised by people in the know that this must be some kind of joke as it wouldn’t have any positive effect J

Any feedback gratefully received, as always.

Kind regards
