We do the same as you Karen.  We usually invite them in as late as we can in December to try and accommodate students coming home for the Christmas break from uni.

We normally have an Awards Evening, after this date the students are can to collect their certificates and sign for them.

If they are unable to collect them then we allow a representative to collect them on their behalf but insist on a letter from the student and that ID must be shown before we will release the certificates.
