Money, the lack of or whatever, simply does not come into it, because anyone who gets as far as being published will already know, unless they are are idiot or just haven't been paying attention, that the likelyhood of making any money is almost zero. It's the way it is. I wish it were not so but there you go. Royalties would matter to me if I thought that my publisher had sold enough books to be reasonably able to give me some dosh back, but alas.
