PIE News is a Horizon 2020 project within the programme “Collective Awareness Platforms for Sustainability and Social Innovation”. It aims at promoting a collaborative form of welfare provision based on equitable governance and grassroots democracy, as an alternative economic model to fight poverty. This is done by raising collective awareness on the threats connected to Poverty, lack of Income, and un/Employment. The candidate will be in charge of the interaction design aspects of the project, namely of the following:
- synthesising the results of Participatory Design activities in the different pilot sites into a single prototype;
- designing and evaluating several possible prototypes, also conducting prototyping sessions;
- implementing the chosen solution into mock-ups and wireframes to be shared with the technical partners.
The candidate will also contribute to the empirical research and focus on how developed interfaces translate public and political characteristics.

All candidates should be capable to:
- Coordinate with the team of developers and with colleagues of the international consortium;
- Present and defend their ideas in a multidisciplinary team;
- Write project reports (in English).

Knowledge and experience in the following is regarded as a plus:
- Monitoring of the development of a socio-technological environment;
- Working in distributed, pilot-driven projects;
- Working with a public/political orientation in design;
- Qualitative research and/or in other EU projects.
