Dear All, This is a very long shot but I'd be very grateful for any information as to the possible whereabouts of a document, a photocopy of part of which arrived at Flintshire Record Office in the mid-1990s. Unfortunately my predecessors were not as good at recording the provenance of copies as they were of original documents so in this particular case we have photocopies with no information about where they came from. The copies we have are a list of baptisms and burials 1657-1661, performed by John Broster whilst he was public preacher in Penley (then in Flintshire). It appears that the book containing these pages was removed from the parish and later used as a commonplace book. One of the pages contains this inscription: "GSC monies Mary Philli[ps?] 6 May 1867". We believe that the copies were received by us in 1995 from someone in London but have no idea whom. Any suggestions gratefully received!
