Dear all [Apologies for the shameless self-promotion!] The final talk in association with the exhibition A Medieval Archive in a Modern World<http://www.magd.ox.ac.uk/libraries-and-archives/news/new-exhibition-and-events-a-medieval-archive-in-a-modern-world/> will take place next Thursday, 19 October, at 5:30pm. Dr Charlotte Berry, the College Archivist, will introduce you to the treasures of the Magdalen College archive, which have been preserved for perpetuity in a purpose-built medieval Muniment Tower set in the heart of the College's site. You will find out about how the College started up its own institutional archive in the 1400s in this richly illustrated journey through the centuries, which will provide an overview of some of the Magdalen's medieval archive highlights. The modern day challenges of keeping the College's medieval collections safe, secure and accessible for future generations will also be considered. The talk will take place in the Summer Common Room.
