Archive Service Accreditation is the UK standard for archive services. Standards schemes and frameworks help archives to manage and improve their efficiency and effectiveness through external validation, and by identifying good practice.

This training event will introduce the Archive Service Accreditation scheme, explain its role and management. It will introduce the Standard, its purpose and contents. The session also aims to demystify the process and to dispel a few myths. Participants in the workshop will consider how the standard applies to their organisation and be able to develop an action plan. This will therefore be an interactive workshop and will help to develop your understanding of the Standard and its relationship to your Archive Service.

This event is suitable for those who are unfamiliar with the Standard and scheme but also for those that have looked at it before and need a boost to developing a full application.
