The following vacancy is currently being advertised at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.

Collections Information Officer - full-time, fixed-term contract

The Trust cares for the world's largest collection of Shakespeare related material accessible by the public and is now recruiting for a Collections Information Officer to improve access to, and the understanding of, our museum, library and archives collections.  

You will be responsible for managing the creation of collections information, our digitisation programme and collections management procedures. You will assist with the development and delivery of new projects which will provide wider access to the collections whilst working alongside the wider Cultural Engagement team and external partners as appropriate.

To be successful in this role you will be educated to postgraduate degree level in a relevant field with extensive experience of working with museum, library or archive collections. You will posses excellent interpersonal skills, good attention to detail, be enthusiastic, self-motivated, resourceful and flexible. Experience of project management, collections based research and developing and implementing strategic plans is desirable as well as an enthusiasm for the vision of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in becoming the world’s leading Shakespearian organisation.
