Research Fellows, Cardiff University | Cardiff, Wales

The newly founded Centre for Political and Legal Analytics (CPLA) in the School of Law and Politics invites applications for two Research Fellows (postdoctoral researchers). The primary purpose of the new centre is to provide a hub in the School to disseminate knowledge about quantitative data analytics to both faculty members as well as postgraduate research students. The Research Associates will carry out independent research as well as collaborate with faculty members (as co-authors), who are interested in using quantitative methods in their research but might not have the expertise to do so on their own. They will also take the lead on identifying and applying for grants to support the activities of the Centre; support, on an ad-hoc basis, the School’s Teaching and Learning Team in strengthening the methods component of the curriculum; help with the organisation of events, including presentations by external speakers and workshops; and help forge links with similar centres/initiatives within the university and at other UK and international universities.

Both positions are full time, fixed term (3 years) and available immediately.

Salary: £41,212 – £47,722 per annum (Grade 7)
