Job Type: Permanent following successful completion of a six month probationary period
Role and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:
Adaptation of various cost-effectiveness models such as Markov cohort models or partitioned survival models for Irish and UK based HTA agencies
Adaptation /recalibration of budget impact models for submissions to agencies in Ireland and the UK
Building simple budget impact models in excel
Data Collection to recalibrate various economic models
Analyzing and interpreting scientific data to be used in reports and HTA submissions
Development of clinical and economic dossiers to support findings of cost utility and budget impact analysis conducted
Statistical input on various studies and projects
Project and client management
Train and mentor junior members of the team and subsequently perform quality assurance checks on their work
Up to date knowledge of developments in health landscape across UK and Ireland
Required
PhD or MSc in Mathematics, Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology or Health Economics. A Masters degree with strong methodological expertise will also be considered.
In depth knowledge of the application of Bayesian Statistics.
Advanced experience in Excel, VBA, R, SAS , SPSS or STATA.
Exceptional communication (written and verbal) skills and proven ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical staff/clients.
Willingness to learn, ability to work autonomously with a problem solving approach.
Strong attention to detail.
Proven ability to exercise a refined level of attention to details to monitor and improve the quality of the worked carried out.
Knowledge of the English language as mother-tongue, both verbally and written.
Desirable
Prior experience (2+ years) in model adaptations to HTA agencies such as SMC, AWMSG, NICE and or NCPE
An up to date and thorough understanding of the Irish and UK healthcare industry and market access activities.
Strong business orientation and analytical skills with good communication and interpersonal skills and a high level of self-organisation and self-motivation.
