The Belfast group says there is a good correlation between morning urine cortisol:creatinine ratios and nocturnal salivary cortisol (J Clin Endocrinol Metab 98: E72–E76, 2013) using cut-offs of 20 and 9 nmol/L.

Dear mailbase members,

Do any of you have an experience of measuring salivary cortisol to aid in the diagnosis of cyclic Cushing syndrome?
Do you have a protocol and interpretative guide for salivary cortisol utility in such situation that you are willing to share?

Many thanks,

Mohammad
