Dr. Kristof Strijkers (http://kristofstrijkers.weebly.com/), CNRS researcher at the Laboratoire Parole et Langage (LPL: http://www.lpl-aix.fr/) located in Aix-en-Provence, is hiring a postdoctoral student for a period of 18 months (possible extension) to work on the ANR project ‘Towards an Integrated Brain Language Theory (TIBLT)’. This project has the objective to systematically compare the spatiotemporal dynamics between the production and perception of words in order to gain better understanding on how the two language modalities are integrated in the brain. The main objectives of the postdoc would be to coordinate, conduct and analyse a series of experiments contrasting word production versus (spoken) word perception with MRI-constrained magnetoencephalography (MEG; possibly TMS as well).
Applicants should hold a PhD from a relevant discipline (e.g., psychology, biology, cognitive science, linguistics), and prior knowledge of psycho-/neuro-linguistics and/or spatiotemporal techniques like MEG will be considered a serious plus.
