Well, I’m with Andrew re Larkin, though taken for what they are his best poems do work.

Unlike Lawrence (& admitting how wrong & hateful his politics were), I happily admit to having learned much from him, then WIllias, & then the New American Poets, as they were called, along with the important Canadian ones (most especially Phyllis Webb; & then certain contemporaries working the same writing ground as I was trying to).

And then we never stop learning? A lot of others, like, say, Susan Howe (even if I never can wrote like her, I learn a lot from how she does it).

And of course a remark like this leaves so much out...
