We had exact same problem years ago when we got the grant. I think it’s a universal thing and like Jim said, as long as we are getting the free grant, any currency will do!

The one I administer for UK charity is also in dollars, I’d assumed that they all were.

I’m happy to take Google’s money in any currency :-)

Hi Mike,

We had the same, and never did find a way to change it I’m afraid. We just run with it in dollars now and accept that we’re never quite sure how much anything is worth!

Sorry that’s not more positive. We’d love to know if anyone else managed to change it to GBP!

Subject: Google AdWords grant issue

Hi all

We’ve got a client who has a validation token for their museum to be enrolled for a Google Grant.

They already have a business profile - the issue they’re running into is that the currency setting has to be in US dollars, and as far as we can tell this can’t be edited. The web suggests that you instead delete your profile and start again - which given they have ~60 positive reviews, lots of images, etc etc on their Google Business profile seems to be a ridiculous idea.

Has anyone else run into this / found a way around it?

cheers

Mike
