Following the move to a regional structure for Library and Knowledge Services and Technology Enhanced Learning across London and the South East, vacancies have arisen for the posts of:
Library and Knowledge Services Development Lead
The Library and Knowledge Services Development Lead will be a key member of a small, friendly, dynamic team responsible for providing strategic direction, professional leadership, technical support and the promotion of Library Knowledge Services and Technology Enhanced Learning across London and South East (LASE).
Key elements of role include:
Developing the LKS workforce by identifying, designing and delivering a CPD programme for LASE LKS staff including negotiation and liaison with trainers
Developing library and knowledge services, working collaboratively with all LASE NHS bodies and LKS Managers to develop options (i.e. business cases) for service delivery including service redesign and reconfigurations of existing LKS
Managing the NHS LKS quality programme:
Contributing to national work streams via active participation on LKS task and finish groups. Areas of work are dependent on expertise and areas of professional interest.
The Knowledge Systems Manager will be a key member of a small friendly dynamic team providing strategic direction, professional leadership and technical support for Library Knowledge Services and Technology Enhanced Learning in the HEE (LASE) geography.
Key elements of role include:
Leadership and co-ordination of the LASE Network for resource/knowledge-sharing
Strategic oversight and technical advice in relation to e-resources procurement and provision
Ensuring LASE-wide delivery and implementation of nationally-funded knowledge systems and resources
Management of the Kent, Surrey and Sussex (KSS) shared library management system
Helping to promote awareness of library knowledge services/resources available in LASEBoth roles are AfC band 7 are full time and permanent, they will be based in Stewart House, Russell Square, London.
