**FREE** Web of Science Citation Connection Training at SHEDL Member Institutions - October 2017.

Jisc Web of Science Service for UK Education Support have organised a series of ***FREE*** Web of Science Citation Connection Training sessions at SHEDL member institutions. The training will be provided by Clarivate Analytics (formerly the IP & Science business of Thomson Reuters). Library/research support staff from SHEDL member institutions are invited to attend one of these events to increase their knowledge of the Web of Science Citation Connection (more information at: http://wokinfo.com/media/pdf/cit-connect-flyer.pdf).

 

Dates and Venues.

 

·         09 October 2017 Monday, University of Stirling, 1.30pm - 3.30pm

·         11 October 2017 Wednesday, University of Strathclyde, 1.30pm - 3.30pm

·         12 October 2017 Thursday, University of Edinburgh, 1.30pm - 3.30pm

Objectives:

• Understand each database in terms of its content, selection and specialist focus

• Understand how to search each database and use analytical tools to identify the most appropriate content

• Understand the unique characteristics of each database and the common themes

• Use the key functionality of the platform

• Provide examples
