Dear Colleagues,

The University of York presents a Brechtian approach to Arthur Miller's The Crucible. Performances at 7.30 from 4-6 Oct in the Black Box Theatre, Baird Lane, Campus East, York YO10 5GB.

The production proceeds from the social situation rather than the characters, and seeks to show the pernicious role of patriarchy in the play. Abigail is no longer demonized; Proctor no longer excused or redeemed.

Tickets are free and are bookable at https://tftv.ticketsolve.com/shows. If you are considering brings groups of students, please contact Esme Pitts ([log in to unmask]), as she will be able to book larger numbers.

All the best,

David
