We're quieter on school bookings than we'd expect (usually fulled booked at this time of year), and anecdotally I've heard it from other organisations too. There's a few potential reasons e.g. terrorism concerns continuing, we're starting our second year of a gallery being closed, and school budgets decreasing - but we're not getting a clear sense from teachers which of these/other reasons it is. Always tricky as you can't ask those who aren't calling!
Is anyone else on GEM seeing lower school bookings than usual, and has anyone got a clearer idea why?
Luckily we're not down very much so far, but if it's going to continue we'd like to address it!
