University of the West of England, Bristol, Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences, is seeking to appoint the following external examiner for a start from October 2017 for modules within the new programme FdSc Integrated Mental Health and Social Care. Reference FD04/17 The following current modules are expected to be part of the examiners portfolio (delivered at University Centre Weston): * Skills for Healthcare Practice 1 * Communication for Healthcare Practice * Physiology, Health and Disease * Introduction to Psychology and Sociology for Integrated Practice * Skills for Healthcare Practice 2 * Supporting people in crisis * Integrated Approaches to Complex Needs * An Introduction To Research Methodologies and Methods * Mental Health and Wellbeing Applications will be accepted from individuals new to the examining role with relevant professional experience. Desirable Criteria Current NMC registration Mental Health field Experience of delivering foundation degrees in own institution All appointments are subject to meeting the University's criteria for the appointment of external examiners. We are unable to accept applications from the following Universities for this post: South Wales, Cardiff, Hertfordshire, Tenure: 4 years Field Boards - currently February, June, July, November. We expect External Examiners would be able to attend at least 2 out of 4 boards.
