Her research investigates human-environment interactions and processes of knowledge production. Her current research focuses on challenges to accommodating different conceptualisations of, and knowledge about, rivers and river management; the potential for indigenous knowledge to enable just and sustainable river futures; and transdisciplinary approaches to understanding marine social-ecological systems.
