The Geographic Perspectives on Women Specialty Group (GPOW) of the AAG is pleased to extend an invitation to sponsor sessions at the 2017 AAG Annual Meeting, April 10th -14th in New Orleans.

GPOW promotes geographic research and education on topics relating to ‘women’, gender, sexuality, and the socio-spatial production of difference and inequality. Sponsored sessions can encompass a broad range of geographic topics including (but not limited to) those focusing on: women, gender, masculinities, and/or femininities; sexuality and queer geographies; critical race theory and geographies of race, ethnicity and (anti-)racism; Indigenous and decolonial geographies; transnational and postcolonial feminisms; class, labor, and/or social reproduction; and feminist theories and/or methodologies.

To put forward your session for GPOW sponsorship, please send your session abstract to Kaitlin Fertaly [log in to unmask] . This information will enable GPOW to promote your sessions closer to the conference date. We look forward to receiving details of your sessions and facilitating an engaging conference environment that promotes the diverse work of feminist geographers!
