All are welcome to the Annual Meeting of the UK Belize Association to be held at the Latin American Centre, University of Oxford on Saturday 7th October, 2017, from 9.30am to 5.00pm. To register a place, please book online via UKBA Annual Meeting 2017: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/belize-studies-conference-university-of-oxford-uk-belize-association-tickets-37535785545 The day will offer a series of research presentations on environmental and societal issues in Belize, and a screening of the new film 'Yochi' by the director Ilana Lapid. Many thanks to those who have already proposed presentations - an initial programme will be circulated shortly with further details of the day’s schedule on the UKBA website www.ukbelizeassociation.org/. If you would like to present a 15-minute paper, in addition to attending the Annual Meeting in October, please contact the organiser directly ([log in to unmask]) with your name and affiliation; a brief summary of your interest in Belize; the title and a 200-word abstract for your proposed presentation by 30th September, 2017. Tea, coffee, lunch and a drinks’ reception will be provided on the day for all attendees. An informal meal will be organised for those wishing to stay in Oxford on the Saturday evening.
